SNL's Martin Herlihy Departs After Five Seasons

Martin Herlihy is exiting Saturday Night Live after five seasons, having served on the writing staff for Season 51 and appeared on screen as part of the Please Don’t Destroy sketch trio. The cast overhaul after Season 50 split up Please Don’t Destroy, with John Higgins leaving and Ben Marshall promoted to the main cast, while Herlihy remained on staff. The Please Don’t Destroy group continues to tour and work on other projects, and Fineman had already exited earlier, making Herlihy the second major departure ahead of SNL’s Season 52.
