Starfleet Academy Will End After Season 2, Variety Exclusive

Variety reports exclusively that Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will end with its upcoming second season; it was renewed for a second season before the first aired, and Season 2 has just wrapped production. Co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau published a letter praising the cast and crew and Roddenberry’s vision as the series heads toward its final run. Beyond this show, two more seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds are in development (Season 4 due later this year and a fifth final season recently completed), along with the Scouts animated series and a new Star Trek film in development, though no new series have been announced yet.
