Wahlberg Bets Half His Paycheck to Film Boston Blue in Boston, But Toronto Keeps the Set Busy
TL;DR
Donnie Wahlberg said he offered to give back 50% of his CBS paycheck so Boston Blue could be filmed entirely in Boston, but the production is mostly in Toronto due to cost, despite the show being set in Beantown and a spin-off of Blue Bloods; Boston Blue has already been renewed for Season 2 and Wahlberg notes the real-life filming interruptions in his hometown.
