Beaches Musical Closes on Broadway Without Any Tony Nominations

Beaches, A New Musical will play its final Broadway performance on May 24 at the Majestic Theatre after 28 previews and 38 regular performances. The show, which opened April 22 after previews began March 27, failed to secure any Tony nominations and struggled with ticket sales, though producers praised the company and announced a 2027 national tour. Based on Iris Rainer Dart’s 1985 novel, the musical stars Jessica Vosk and Kelli Barrett and is directed by Lonny Price and Matt Cowart, with plans to bring the show to audiences across America on tour.
