"The Chosen" Finds Home at The CW for Jesus Drama

The CW has acquired the U.S. broadcast rights to the crowdfunded historical drama series, The Chosen, about the life of Jesus, with the first three seasons set to air from July through Christmas Eve. The show has already garnered an estimated 110 million viewers across 175 countries via the Angel Studios app, and producers plan to make it available in 600 languages. The CW's deal with creator Dallas Jenkins covers the first three seasons of the seven-season plan, with season four currently in production.
