Hulu Taps Turow Novel for Suspect, a PI Drama From Handmaid’s Tale Team

Hulu is developing Suspect, a drama series based on Scott Turow’s 2022 novel, from The Handmaid’s Tale duo Marissa Jo Cerar and Bruce Miller with Matt Shakman directing/producing; the show centers on Pinky, a private investigator trying to exonerate a female police chief accused of extorting sex from male officers for promotions, with 20th Television as the studio and MGM as a producer.
