Family of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez is urging the death penalty for D4vd (David Burke), who is on trial for her murder and dismemberment, with prosecutors alleging he stabbed Celeste and severed her limbs to hide a sexual relationship that began when he was 18 and she was 13; Celeste's body was found in the trunk of Burke’s Tesla in a Los Angeles tow yard in 2025. Burke has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, lewd acts with a minor, and mutilating a body, and a trial date has not yet been set after his defense team recently withdrew.
