TL;DR

Eighty-something couple Judith Sheldon (84) and Wylie Sheldon (86) from California were found dead in a running SUV along northbound Interstate 5 near Redding on June 15, while on their way to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. California Highway Patrol said the deaths appeared medically related, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival expressed sorrow for the loss of longtime arts patrons. The exact cause remains under investigation amid a heat-influenced day in the region.
