Camilo Séptimo Keyboardist Jonathan Meléndez, Family Slain in Mexico Home

Jonathan Meléndez, keyboardist for Camilo Séptimo, his pregnant wife Ana Paula, their 3-year-old daughter, and a 21-year-old nanny were found murdered at their home near Mexico City; a 6-year-old child survived. Two men have been arrested; authorities say one suspect, Diego Sebastián “N,” allegedly exploited a prior relationship with a victim to gain access to the residence. The victims were shot (three in the head, one in the back), and the family dog was found tied up. Camilo Séptimo, formed in Mexico City in 2013, released the EP in 2014 and albums Óleos (2017) and Jardín de las almas (2023); Variety will have more updates as they develop.
