Parma-area theft: Italy recovers Renoir, Cézanne and Matisse masterworks

Italian Carabinieri recovered three paintings—Renoir's Fish, Cézanne's Still Life with Cherries, and Matisse's Odalisque on the Terrace—stolen in March from the Magnani Rocca Foundation near Parma. The works, valued at about $3.5 million, $7 million, and $23,000 respectively, were found during searches ordered by prosecutors; the heist occurred in under three minutes and investigators say an organized gang may be involved; the probe is ongoing.
