Baby born with rare 'turtle shell' condition perplexes doctors.

James McCallum, an 18-month-old boy from Florida, was born with a rare skin condition called congenital melanocytic nevus, which caused a growth to cover 75% of his back. He has undergone two major surgeries to remove the growth and is now receiving skin expanders to encourage normal skin growth. The growth was itchy and had no sweat glands, which led his parents to limit his time outside. Doctors expect him to be completely cured by his second birthday in August.
