Pupil Fluctuations Hint at Attention Shifts in ADHD

A reanalysis of eye-tracking data from 50 children (ages 10–12) found greater trial-to-trial pupil variability in unmedicated ADHD participants compared with controls, with medicated ADHD children showing stronger, less variable responses closer to controls. The findings suggest pupil dynamics could complement behavioral assessments in ADHD, but are not a diagnostic tool yet and require larger, real-world studies to confirm reliability.
