Strep throat cases increasing in Central Illinois and beyond.

Strep throat cases have been on the rise throughout the country, with two Central Illinois minors dying from the illness. Symptoms include fever, sore throat, headache, stomachaches, and rashes on the torso. Strep throat is highly contagious and passed through droplets. Parents are advised to pay attention to their kids’ behaviors and to seek medical help if they see symptoms.
