The Impact of Vaccine Arm Choice on Efficacy, Revealed by Study

A study published in the journal eBioMedicine suggests that receiving the COVID-19 booster shot in the same arm as the original vaccine may result in a stronger immune response. The study analyzed data from 303 individuals who received the mRNA vaccine and a booster shot, finding that the number of "killer T cells" needed to fight the virus was higher in those who had both shots in the same arm. Researchers theorize that targeting the same lymph nodes in the same arm may enhance the body's ability to fight off infections.
