West Nile virus detected in Connecticut mosquitoes

Mosquitoes in nine Connecticut towns have tested positive for West Nile virus this season, with the state attributing the increase in mosquito population to the wet weather. Symptoms of the virus can range from fever and body aches to more serious illnesses affecting the central nervous system.
