Rabies-confirmed beaver attack prompts health alert at New Jersey lake

An 8-year-old boy and other visitors were attacked by a beaver at Lake Henry in Mahwah, NJ; the animal was later confirmed rabid. The beaver had attacked others earlier in the day, was captured for testing, and officials issued a public-health warning while those bitten receive treatment.
