Rabies Detected in Local Wildlife in Oneida County Prompts Exposures

Two rabies cases have been confirmed in Oneida County after a bat in Chadwicks and a raccoon in Westmoreland tested positive, exposing two people and two dogs. One of the exposed people is receiving post-exposure treatment, and the two dogs will receive rabies booster shots; the exact locations where the animals were found were not disclosed.
