Beloved Wisconsin dentist Krisan Shaw passes after cancer battle

Krisan Kae Shaw, 53, a Wisconsin dentist celebrated for compassion and faith, died on August 6, 2026 after a 20-year battle with breast cancer. Born in Vesper in 1972, she earned a top DDS from the University of Minnesota, practiced in River Falls, and founded Shaw Family Dental in Ellsworth in 2006, valuing patient relationships above all. She is survived by husband Paul Laube, daughters Jordan and Alison, parents Lenard and Myrna Shaw, and brothers Kevin, Loren, and Mike. Visitation August 20, 4–8 p.m. at O'Connell Family Funeral Homes in Hudson, MN; funeral August 21 at Woodbury Lutheran Church, Woodbury, MN, with burial in Withee, WI. Memorials may be directed to the River Falls High School Band and Softball programs.
