Marjorie Taylor Greene's Controversial T-Shirt Line Targets Smallpox Victims

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has released a new line of merchandise, including a t-shirt mocking those who contract MPOX, a disease that primarily affected gay and bisexual men during a recent outbreak. The black t-shirt depicts three monkey emojis and reads: “See no monkeypox, hear no monkeypox, speak no monkeypox.” Greene has repeatedly mocked the disease, calling it a “scam” and saying it only affects “some people.” The disease is not sexually transmitted, but spread through direct contact with lesions, prolonged face-to-face contact, touching items like clothes and linens that an infected person used, or via the placenta to a fetus.
