Skin-Smart AI Patch Delivers Instant On-Body Health Insights

Researchers at the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory have created a skin-like, stretchable AI patch that processes health data directly on the body, performing real-time analysis in milliseconds without sending data to remote servers. Using printable organic electrochemical transistors embedded in a flexible substrate and a UV-hardening gel, the device maps heart rhythms with up to 99.6% accuracy and predicts heart-attack risk at 83.5%, laying groundwork for a fully integrated, on-body health monitoring platform with future wireless and sensor enhancements.
