10-Year-Old Boy Attacked by Shark at Bahamas Resort

A 10-year-old boy from Maryland was bitten by a shark while participating in a "Walking With the Sharks" experience at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The boy is in stable condition after being taken to a hospital. The experience, run by an outside company, has been removed from the resort's website. Witnesses described the shark honing in on the boy, leading to a rush out of the water and the child and his parents being taken to a nursing station. Experts noted that containing sharks in a tank could make them more aggressive due to stress, emphasizing that they are wild animals and not pets.
