Fatal Texas Crash: 8 Dead as Human Smuggler Collides with SUV

Eight people were killed in a collision in Zavala County, Texas, involving two vehicles, one of which was suspected to be involved in a human smuggling operation and was fleeing from law enforcement. The crash occurred when the driver of the suspected smuggler's Honda passed an 18-wheeler in a no-passing zone, resulting in a head-on collision with a Chevrolet SUV. The driver and a passenger in the SUV were killed, along with five passengers in the Honda, including the suspected smuggler. The investigation is ongoing.
