A BNSF freight train derailed in southwestern Wisconsin, injuring four crew members and sending two containers into the Mississippi River but causing no environmental damage. The train carried lithium-ion batteries, oxygen, and paint, but the materials did not pose a hazard to the public. The cause of the derailment is still under investigation, and a section of State Highway 35 was closed.
