Ohio animal rescue founder's home discovered with 146 dead dogs.

Nearly 150 dead dogs were found in the Ohio home of the operator of Canine Lifeline Inc., a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Many of the dogs were found confined to their crates and in varying stages of decay. Necropsies will be performed to determine the cause of death. Surviving dogs were taken to an animal shelter. Canine Lifeline volunteers were unaware of the conditions and are cooperating with authorities. The organization was founded in 2009 to save adoptable dogs from being euthanized.
