Poodle revived with Narcan after suspected overdose

A poodle named Toodles in Pennsylvania was revived with Narcan after suffering an apparent drug overdose, likely from ingesting fentanyl. Toodles was found unconscious and unresponsive with a person in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Kensington. Veterinarians administered Narcan, and Toodles immediately became responsive. The dog was transferred from the hospital to the shelter and has made a full recovery. Dogs can inhale drugs through their noses, and even small amounts of certain drugs can cause an overdose. If you suspect a dog has overdosed, give it Narcan immediately and then take it to a veterinarian as soon as possible.
