"Desperate Search for Missing Sub Continues Across Oceans"

Search-and-rescue vessels from multiple countries are searching for a missing submersible, named Titan, that carried five people and enough oxygen to last until Thursday morning. The submersible was headed towards the wreckage of the Titanic, which rests 12,500 feet below the surface on the ocean floor about 900 miles off Cape Cod. The search covers an area twice the size of Connecticut and up to 2.5 miles deep. The submersible could be floating on the surface, somewhere in the water column, or resting on the ocean floor. The search includes P-3 and C-130 aircraft, five surface assets, and two unmanned remote-operated vehicles.
