DeSantis vs. Disney: Latest Developments in the Feud

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill that allows the newly created Central Tourism Oversight District Board to cancel Disney's new real-estate developments. The board can void development agreements Disney had previously signed up to three months before its creation. DeSantis has been in a long-running feud with Disney over social issues, accusing the company of peddling a "woke agenda." As of 2021, Disney employed around 75,000 people in central Florida, making it the largest employer in the area.
