Elizabeth Holmes ordered to prison and pay $452 million in restitution.

Elizabeth Holmes, founder of the failed blood-testing startup Theranos, will begin serving her 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors on May 30. She had requested to pause her sentence, but the court denied her request. Holmes rose to fame after claiming Theranos's small machines could run an array of diagnostic tests with just a few drops of blood. Her co-defendant, former Theranos President Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, was also convicted of defrauding investors and patients and began serving his sentence on April 20.
