Lowe's worker reinstated after intervening with shoplifters

Donna Hansbrough, a Lowe's employee in Georgia, has been reinstated after being fired for trying to stop alleged shoplifters who assaulted her. Hansbrough violated company policy by attempting to prevent the thieves from leaving with $2,100 worth of merchandise. Despite suffering a black eye from the assault, she grabbed the cart with the stolen items. Lowe's corporate spokesperson stated that they are pleased she accepted the offer to return and emphasized the importance of safety for customers and employees. The company is cooperating with law enforcement to investigate and prosecute the theft and violent attack.
