A State Department diplomatic security officer, Kevin Alstrup, was arrested by the FBI in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He faces misdemeanor charges for entering the restricted building and disorderly conduct. Alstrup, identified through social media posts and body camera footage, spent approximately 28 minutes inside the Capitol during the riot. Over 1,250 people have been arrested in connection with the attack, with federal prosecutors securing about 900 convictions.
