"Scott County Murder and Assault Suspect Arrested"

Sammy Patrick, 36, has been arrested at a QuickTrip in Byram, Mississippi, after being on the run since the previous Saturday. He is accused of the brutal murder of an older woman, Dee Eady, whom he allegedly shot, sexually assaulted, and burned in her home in Scott County. Eady's body was discovered by a family member, and her home was found ransacked. Patrick, who lived near the victim, was also implicated in a robbery and is facing capital murder and rape charges, among other offenses committed while evading capture.
