"Chicago Mourns 9-Year-Old Victim of Back of the Yards Mass Shooting"
TL;DR
Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling expresses frustration over the lack of public outrage following a mass shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood that resulted in the death of a nine-year-old girl and injuries to several family members. The shooting involved dozens of shots fired from an automatic weapon, and Snelling emphasizes the long-term trauma experienced by the victims. While the police believe the attack was carried out by gang members, the motive is still under investigation.
