"Riverdale Police Seek Public Aid in Kidnapping of Endangered 17-Year-Old Exchange Student"
TL;DR
Kai Zhuang, a 17-year-old Chinese foreign exchange student, has been reported missing in Riverdale, Utah. He was last seen early Thursday morning, and his parents in China received a ransom note along with a photo of him. Despite initial beliefs of a possible abduction, there is no evidence of forced removal from his host family's home. An Amber Alert has not been issued due to the lack of a suspect. Local police, the FBI, the U.S. Embassy in China, and Chinese officials are involved in the investigation to locate Kai.
