12-year-old charged with murder in fatal shooting of Sonic employee in Texas

A 12-year-old and a 20-year-old are facing murder charges after a Sonic Drive-In employee was shot and killed during an altercation with a customer in Keene, Texas. The employee, Matthew Davis, confronted the customer, Angel Gomez, for urinating in the parking lot, and a physical altercation ensued. A 12-year-old who was in Gomez's car pulled out an assault rifle and fired six rounds at Davis, killing him. Both Gomez and the juvenile were arrested and charged with murder. The restaurant remains closed, and a GoFundMe has been started to help Davis' family cover funeral costs and support his 10-year-old son.
