Airman Accused of Leak Poses Ongoing National Security Risk, Prosecutors Say.

Jack Teixeira, the Massachusetts Air National Guardsman accused of leaking classified documents online, has a history of making racist and violent remarks, according to a court filing by the Justice Department. Prosecutors argued that Teixeira needed to be detained indefinitely because he posed a "serious flight risk" and might still have information that would be of "tremendous value to hostile nation states." Teixeira was also accused of repeatedly trying to obstruct federal investigators. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
