Akron Police Officers Face Threats and Controversy in Jayland Walker Case

Some retired and current police officers in Akron have received threats after a grand jury declined to indict eight officers who fired the fatal shots that killed 25-year-old Jayland Walker. The threats state that 16 blue badges will have to pay like Mr. W before the end of the year. Akron FOP Lodge President Clay Cozart said he received one this week as well. An investigation is underway to determine who is making the threats.
