Alter ego 'Zero' blamed as FedEx driver pleads guilty in Athena Strand case
TL;DR
A Texas murder case centers on ex-FedEx driver Tanner Horner, who pleaded guilty to killing 7-year-old Athena Strand in 2022 and told investigators that his alter ego, “Zero,” took over during the crime, which he described as a nightmare; Strand was abducted from outside her home, strangled, dumped in the back of Horner’s truck, and later disposed of in a river as prosecutors allege, with the defense and court filings highlighting Horner’s split personality claim.
