Arizona woman arrested for poisoning husband's coffee with bleach over months

An Arizona woman, Melody Johnson, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree homicide, attempted aggravated assault, and adding poison to food or drink after allegedly pouring bleach into her estranged husband's coffee over a period of several months. The husband, a member of the U.S. Air Force, noticed a bad taste in his coffee and conducted tests, which revealed high levels of chlorine. Video evidence allegedly shows Johnson pouring bleach into the coffee maker. The husband believes she was trying to kill him to collect death benefits. Johnson is currently in custody at the Pima County Adult Detention Center.
