Arrest Made in 30-Year-Old Cold Case Murder of Jennifer Odom

After 30 years, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office has charged Jeffery Norman Crum with the kidnapping, murder, and sexual assault of 12-year-old Jennifer Odom, who was abducted while walking home from school in 1993. Odom's body was found six days later. The investigation remained active over the years, and a DNA match led to Crum becoming the prime suspect in 2015. Crum, who was already serving two life sentences for a separate case, may now face the death penalty for Odom's murder. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the case or potential additional victims to come forward.
