Arrest Made in Murder of CT News Anchor's Mother

A suspect, Shawn Conlon, has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Groton, Connecticut, in connection with the murder of Claudia Voight, the mother of NBC Connecticut news anchor Heidi Voight. Conlon was identified as a suspect in the strangulation murder that occurred in Windham, Vermont, in February. Initially, Voight's death did not appear suspicious, but an autopsy revealed she had been strangled. Conlon will be extradited back to Vermont to face the charge of second-degree homicide.
