Arrested: North Carolina Man's Threats Against Jewish Organization

A North Carolina man, Jeffrey Scott Hobgood, has been arrested and charged with making threats against a Jewish house of worship in the aftermath of the Hamas attack on Israel. Hobgood allegedly sent threatening emails to the organization, stating that he would "take every one of you out" and that they would be "annihilated." Despite law enforcement contacting him, Hobgood sent a second threatening message. The arrest comes as anti-Jewish hate crimes have increased by over 37% in 2022, according to FBI data.
