"Arrests Made as Virginia Elementary Students Fall Ill from Fentanyl-Laced Gummy Bears"

Seven fourth-grade students in Amherst, Virginia, fell ill after eating gummy bears that were later found to be contaminated with fentanyl. Five students were hospitalized but have since recovered. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. The candies themselves tested negative, but the sandwich bag tested positive for fentanyl. The school superintendent believes the contamination occurred either at home or on the way to school. The investigation is ongoing, and the school has been cleaned.
