California doctor blames tires for driving Tesla off cliff at Devil's Slide.

Unsealed court records reveal that Dharmesh Patel's wife told authorities that he intentionally drove their Tesla off a cliff in San Mateo County in an attempt to kill their family. Patel, a Pasadena radiologist, claimed he pulled off the road to check on a possible flat tire. He has pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempted murder. The search warrant led to the seizure of Patel’s two iPads, found in a backpack beneath the Tesla wreckage. Investigators said they planned to search the tablets for incriminating text messages and social media or internet searches.
