California Doctor Indicted for Poisoning Husband's Tea with Drain Cleaner

California dermatologist Yue "Emily" Yu has been indicted on three felony counts of poisoning and one count of domestic battery with injury after allegedly pouring liquid drain cleaner into her husband's tea. The man noticed a strange taste to his tea in April 2022 and installed cameras in the family's kitchen, which captured video of Yu pouring a substance on three occasions from a bottle of drain cleaner into the tea. The substance caused the man to suffer stomach ulcers. Yu faces a maximum sentence of eight years and eight months if convicted on all counts.
