California Doctor's Wife Claims He Purposely Drove Tesla Off Cliff with Family Inside

Court documents reveal that the wife of a California radiologist accused of intentionally driving his Tesla off a cliff with his family inside told authorities he did it "on purpose." Dharmesh Patel was charged with three counts of attempted murder after the incident in January, but pleaded not guilty. No one was harmed in the crash, but Patel's wife was hospitalized in critical condition for over a month. Two of the three attempted murder charges include special allegations of domestic violence and intent to cause great bodily injury. Patel is due back in court on June 12 for a preliminary hearing.
