"California Man Charged with Murder in Road Rage Shooting Death of 4-Year-Old"

A 29-year-old man, Byron Burkhart, has been charged with murder in a road rage incident in California that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old boy. Burkhart allegedly fired eight shots into the victim's vehicle while driving on the Sierra Highway in Lancaster. The child, Gor Adamyan, was shot once and later died in the hospital. Burkhart has been charged with murder, attempted murder, shooting at an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison. Burkhart's girlfriend, who was with him at the time of the incident, has been released without charges.
