Controversy Surrounds Fatal Shooting of 14-Year-Old by Police in Colorado

Police in Colorado have released body camera footage of an officer fatally shooting 14-year-old Jor'Dell Richardson, who was with a group of teenagers that had allegedly stolen vape canisters from a store. The footage shows Jor'Dell running from officers before being caught and having a physical altercation with one officer. As he's on the ground, Jor'Dell can be heard saying, "Stop, please, you got me," as the officer yells, "Gun! Gun! Let go of the ------- gun! I'm going to shoot your a--! Dude, I'm going to shoot you!" Seconds later, a single gunshot can be heard. The use of force is being investigated by the 18th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT).
