Daycare Workers Arrested for Operating Child Fight Ring

Two daycare teachers in South Carolina have been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and unlawful conduct to a child after allegedly directing 3 and 4-year-olds in their care to fight each other. The teachers, Ericka Jones and Serena Caldwell, were terminated immediately after their behavior was reported and security footage was reviewed. The daycare facility cooperated fully with the investigation. A total of 14 children were involved, and while none suffered serious physical injuries, the emotional and psychological damage caused remains unknown. The daycare owner stated that the behavior of the teachers was abhorrent and not reflective of the facility as a whole.
