"Dentist's African safari ends in life sentence for wife's murder"

An American dentist, Lawrence Rudolph, has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife while on a safari in Zambia. Rudolph shot his wife through the heart with a shotgun and then filed fraudulent life insurance claims totaling over $4 million. He maintained his innocence during the trial, but the jury found him guilty. Rudolph's attorneys plan to file an appeal. His girlfriend, Lori Milliron, was also found guilty of being an accessory after the fact to murder and was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
