Detroit Implements Curfew and Investigates Downtown Shootings

The Detroit Police Department has reminded minors and their parents about the curfew in place for minors, as it investigates two more shootings downtown. The curfew prohibits minors 15 years old and younger from being on public streets, sidewalks, playgrounds, vacant lots, or other unsupervised public places from 10 p.m. through 6 a.m., and minors 16 and 17 from 11 p.m. through 6 a.m. The department is investigating a fatal shooting in Greektown and a shooting that injured two near the Detroit Riverwalk, in addition to a shooting that killed one person and injured three others at the intersection of Randolph and Monroe streets.
